We just had dinner from here earlier this week - it was pretty good. Kids had cheese pizza they enjoyed. I had a large meatball and sausage calzone, which was delicious and enormous - Ive been snacking on it for days... my wife had the cold cut sandwich that didnt have lettuce tomato nor onion, so she was pretty bumbed out.

Sub shops in the Bay State are like family Mexican places in the Lone Star State. There are a million of them and they are all amazingly good. Which are better - Boston Subs or Texan Tacos? Which is better - Lobster or Chocolate? * * * Town House of Pizza is a fine fine sub shop. Most of the old Italian families who created the great East Coast restaurants and pizza places have died out or left the business. But there are many willing and capable successors. The people who run the Town House of Pizza are Greek. The walls are covered with pictures of the Greek isles. Their subs are over the top good. I had a steak sub with onions, mushrooms, salami, and pepperoni, all heated on the grill. "Steak" was gyro meat. Gyro meat has rarely been put to a better use. One note of sanity. In Texas, the wannabe submakers overload the subs to the point where everything is falling out of the sub. Quantity is not the same as quality. The Town House of Pizza put a sensible amount of meat into your roll. You can eat it easily. The sandwich is not even remotely messy. Everything tastes fantastic. You are totally full when you are done. And you don't have to fight with your sandwich the whole time you are eating it. The sandwich DOES call for adding salt (You add salt to Southern food - but to Boston food? Come on!) and it does require adding crushed red pepper. (In a sub shop, whether you are having subs or pizza you put crushed red pepper on everything. You just do it automatically) Once the salt and red pepper were where they needed to be - Perfection was on my plate. * * * I travelled 2000 miles from Texas so I could eat that sub in Needham, Mass. It was totally totally worth it.

I can't understand why this establishment doesn't have 5 stars. I came here yesterday and was completely blown away. The staff were excellent; helpful and accommodating! Both the albacore white tuna salad and fresh homemade chicken salad were excellent. The sandwiches were fresh and plentiful! Will most definitely be returning! The baklava, which is my husband's favorite was delicious as well and the pizza looked fabulous!!! Keep up the yummy work!!!

Used to be from down the street, now 10 miles away in Medfield and will go out of our way for their awesome pizza and grilled chicken Greek salads.

I have been going to town pizza since I was little and it always hits the spot. The staff are extremely welcoming and the service is always quick and easy. Their fries are some of the best fries I have ever had, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. And lastly the pizza, their main seller, the perfect amount of sauce to cheese ratio and a delicious crunchy crust.
